Mainline and Tubing Installations

If you are thinking of setting up your own sugaring operation, but don't have the time or knowledge to install it yourself, we can help!  David is a forester with a B.S. from the University of Vermont.  He offers mainline and tubing installations, as well as forest management consultation services, particularly as it pertains to Organic maple sugaring operations.  Our sugaring operation is Certified Organic by Vermont Organic Farmers (VOF) (the certification branch of Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont - NOFA).  David can set your operation up in accordance with Organic guidelines.  The following services are available:

• Mainline and tubing installations, both conventional and wet/dry systems

• Installation and plumbing for vacuum pumps

• Setting tanks and connecting to your mainline

• Construction of tank sheds or even new sugarhouses (click on the construction tab above)

• Use value appraisal forest management plans in accordance with Organic requirements

• Assistance in timber or firewood harvesting to meet Organic requirements

Mainline and tubing installations are $3.00/tap and up depending on system type and travel from Johnson, VT.  All other services are offered by the hour or at a negotiated fixed rate.  We are fully insured.  If you are interested in more information, please contact David at david@sugarwoods.net or 802.373.7904.
